Brooke III

Just the last of Brookes photos...sorry Brooke! Wasn't able to get too much done over the past few weeks while at the hospital. I've had to reschedule alot of appointments so thank you to those who have been willing to work with my schedule. I can only pray that this weekend the weather will be on our side for the Vakapuna's family portraits.....the makeover photos are still coming.....

Close-Ups

I'm still trying to get use to getting up close and personal with subjects, especially for facial shots, upper body, and close-ups. I captured alot of close-up shots of Brooke and learned how valuable these shots are because they really do capture the expressions of Brooke, and the light was a little bright...had these been taken on a day that was cloudy (overcast) with alot of diffused light these shots would of been perfect. I like this photo because the background is brighter than Brooke, so there is not much distraction in the photo. I used a wide aperature (low f/stop), and tried to frame around her face. I know it could be better, but this was one of my fav's.

Meet Brooke:)

So remember the picture below of behind of the scenes....well, when positioning Brooke in just the right spot where light was hitting her but not too much..made these pictures turn out great!  The rest of the lighting was created in my camera working my ISO and shutter speed.  This girl is just gorgeous, and Brooke not only is  a model, but also a dancer, and a body build competitor.  Even before I starting shooting, she put her arms up, and I was like, "you are one buff gal"...she smiled and then began sharing her many talents.  Brooke was no joke as just her presence alone was enough to make one feel intimidated, but once we got talking it was like we were old friends as she shared her dreams and life with me.  This girl knew how to work her facial expressions and result in instant chemistry with the camera.  I had a blast, and her photos tell it all.

So here are few of my favorites from Lina's bridals, whom I was so happy to meet:)  Thank you Kayleen for giving me this opportunity to build my portfolio.  It was a cold day but Lina didn't let that get in her way!  Isn't she beautiful.....Congrats Lina!
