Miss Malia!

This gorgeous young woman is my first cousin and had asked if I could help her build a portfolio for the Miss Tonga Utah pageant. I was so excited to get out into the city to shoot her because not only is she beautiful but her personality and the way she carries herself already was an indicator that we were going to have a fabulous time. As I photographed her though, I saw a whole new person through my lens, it had hit me that Malia is not a lil' girl anymore which is what I typically see her as, since I'm alot older than she. I even teared up a few times because I realized this lil' cousin of minez is all grown up. It was so much fun to spend some QT time with her, goof around, and keep all the guys away....I'm tellin you young people these days are in a whole new arena when it comes to macking. As we shot this pix's, there was like two guys that followed us and were complimenting Malia with no shame. You gotta love it when guys can put it all out there with their heart on their sleeve - so cute:)..they couldn't resist her beauty and I know the judges for this pageant will do likewise. Malia, you rocked this photo shoot and I have no doubt that you will win the Miss Tonga Utah pageant:) Love ya!

An evening with Baby Jane

This beautiful lil' girl is my only niece on my side. Her good looks and charm comes from her namesake - ME! lol:) Can I just say that she blew me away....often times it takes alot of coaching, directing, and bribing to get a kids attention. These pictures are all Seini aka Baby Jane ( Seini is the Tongan name for Jane), all on her own...all I did was shoot and she just did her thang! I love her to pieces, and already know she is going to love these. Her father, my brother is a single father...so if you think Seini is cute, my lil' bro is worth taking a look at:)...and determined not to ever marry again..... Baby Jane is the love of his life these days, and I love their guts:) LOve ya baby Jane!

Brooke III

Just the last of Brookes photos...sorry Brooke! Wasn't able to get too much done over the past few weeks while at the hospital. I've had to reschedule alot of appointments so thank you to those who have been willing to work with my schedule. I can only pray that this weekend the weather will be on our side for the Vakapuna's family portraits.....the makeover photos are still coming.....

My #1 baby model

Meet Lehua!  She is my ball of energy and keeps me on my toes each day. I'm amazed at how fast my lil' girl has matured and how she was able to talk in sentences at 1yrs old.  This is my my #1 model for baby portraits.... and she is definitely a girly girl.  Mind you she is surrounded by two older brothers which I thought for sure would influence some kind of tomboy-ness to surface from my baby->NOT.  Although she plays with boys toys, at the mere age of 1 she was already wrapped up into changing outfits, carrying her own lil' designer purse, and being the princess of the house!  I have a few shots lined up this weekend with newborns, babies, and a cute lil' boy flying all the way from California for some urban shots.  I'm way excited and can't wait to shoot these lil' ones.  I also found out about a competition for The Children's Place clothesline looking for a cute baby, so I'm going to enter with some of the photos taken this weekend.  Wish me luck!
