Update!

Dear Internet,
I don't know what else to say other than I have done a terrible job in blogging for the last few months. Please be patient with me as I promise there is alot in store with the new year soon approaching. Things have been so fast paced with my work that I've focused lately on just getting things done for my clients in a timely manner. I also am working on a new blog and alot of great products for the new year. For those of you who have had a photo session with me this year and have yet to see your pictures posted to my blog.... it is in the works and I will have everything up before the end of the year. To be quite honest, being that this is my first year in the photography industry, I think I got a little too excited and booked way too much work not taking into consideration my post production and then having to overlap photo shoots while still working through post production with past shoots. Then of course I have my FT job with WGU, mom, wife, etc, etc. I don't want to make up too many excuses but to simplify - LIFE has just been very busy with everything going on and I apologize.

So please bare with me and thank you in advance for those who have still continued to follow and support my work. I am booked until July of 2010 and will be taking on more after July. If you have anything going on before then, you are welcome to check with me for cancellations and I can see what we can do. However, for sure anytime after July should be open as of right now.

Until then, I hope to have everything up and going with my new website, look, and plans for the new year! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving this week and stay tuned for all my recent work for the past few months.

Newborn - Baby Feinga

Since this lil' one was in the womb of his mother I was so excited for the Feinga's to welcome their baby boy to life! From the day I met up with the Feingas for their family maternity shots, I could see how anxious the Feinga's were to have their first child. I couldn't wait for this lil' boy to arrive and when he did, Kass was ready for his pictures. Baby Feinga is 9 days old in these pictures and how come he was so long that many of the props he couldn't fit but we made due with what worked. I know my favorite shot as well as mom's is the one she requested even before baby Feinga arrived...she specifically asked that baby be rested on Dads back right above his tatoo and boy did that picture turn out to be an all time favorite of mines. I couldn't resist and had to blow it up huge, custom framed, and everyone has fallen in love with it. Thanks Kass for sharing your family with me, and for being the best clients ever. I love this family to death, and am so happy for them. Welcome to the beauties of parenthood where life really begins:)

Parents love note: "Happy, elated, blessed, grateful, humbled! These are some of the many feelings we have when looking at your beautiful face. You have far surpassed our expectations of what we imagined you to be. The joy we feel is incomparable to what people told us to expect becoming parents. The love we have for you is indesribable. We are so thankful to have you a part of our family and to be your parents! We love staring at you and holding you for hours. We love your big smile and love to laugh at you when you're "milk drunk"! We love every single thing about you son!

Catching up......

I know, I know.....I have not put the time and effort that I would of liked into blogging lately and have a ton of catching up to do! Life is like a box of chocolates....how true that statement has been for me within the last few months. Between working a FT job, being mom at the same time and doing photography, the chaos of it all has become a bit of overwhelming but manageable. I'm working on getting better at blogging and turning my shoots around quicker, so a big thank you to all my clients for being patient with me and this learning curve I've hit. Currently, I'm working on a few sessions which I hope to have done by tomorrow and be up to pace with my shoots that are scheduled for the rest of the year.

Another great experience was my 2nd workshop which was a ton of fun! I had decided to do home style session with the Peterson's which turned out beautifully! Thank you to my workshop participants who came and made it such a success, and also to the Peterson family for inviting us into your ultra fabulous home. I learned so much from this shoot, and could see and feel the difference it made to be shooting a family in their own environment. The kids were able to let loose, and lil' Talei who wasn't too happy when we were out on location, she was a doll at home and even showed me around the house with Mia. The Peterson's were even gracious enough to rock out and bust some moves as a family for our cameras which was the highlight of my day! To know that your clients can feel so comfortable around you is the best feeling as a photographer! Also, to see the Peterson's home dressed with Seini Photography was an additional bonus! Loved it! Here are a few sneak peek moments... I also have some pictures from my workshop participants which I will post this weekend and because they did an awesome job, I'm going to send each of them a gift for submitting terrific work! Enjoy!

Congratulations Jameson and Tina!

I just want to congratulate Jameson and Tina as they tied the knot last weekend. I wish you both the very best! Welcome to the world of marriage and the true turning point of life! I also had the pleasure of taking their engagement pictures. These two were so much fun to shoot as the simplicity of their relationship shined through. As I watched them through my lens, Jameson was constantly making Tina laugh and as she laughed you could see that "look" she would give him....that look that she absolutely adored him and he the same. They both are attending BYU and have alot of ahead of them. Good luck to the both of you!

Jameson's love note:
One of the first things that caught my attention with Tina, besides her apparent beauty, was that my goofiness did not shock or surprise her at all. Later on in our courtship I realized that our goofiness came from the same primordial oozes. Our compatibility is off the charts because of this luck of the draw, as some may call it. I like to call it fate.
On a more serious note, I love Tina for many reasons. She’s very patient. She loves her family. She loves my family. She’s great with kids. She’s intelligent. She’s independent. She laughs at my jokes. I love her family. We talk about everything… The list goes on and on for days. Every day actually gives me more reasons to love her.

Tina's love note:
Jameson is my perfect match. I was really surprised at first at how well we complement each other because I never thought anything like that was possible. He is the most amazing person and I am so lucky to have him in my life. One of the reasons why I love Jameson is that he loves me for who I am. I always feel comfortable and it's really easy for me to just be myself. I feel safe and secure when I am with him. He even stopped a bus for me once so that I wouldn't have to worry about getting run over. I am terrified of crossing streets. It's just one of my many quirks that Jameson puts up with. I am the happiest I've even been and I know that a lot of that has to do with Jameson. He always makes me laugh and we have so much fun together. He's so thoughtful and he makes me want to be a better person. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him because it's only going to get better from here.
